Karen Ryan founded Kara Wellbeing as a compassionate space supporting women of all ages through life’s challenges. Whether facing infertility, miscarriage, relationship difficulties, grief, workplace stress, or everyday pressures, Karen provides a calm, understanding environment where women feel heard, supported, and empowered.
Karen offers 1:1 therapy sessions in Westport, Co. Mayo, and online, supporting women across Ireland. As a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor with specialist training in Fertility Counselling (BICA), she combines professional expertise with a deep passion for helping clients navigate emotional challenges with sensitivity.


With years of experience in corporate HR, learning, and financial service, Karen brings unique insight into the realities of work, wellbeing, and life’s pressures. She believes that while obstacles are inevitable, no one has to face them alone. Through warmth, practical guidance, and support, she helps clients find clarity, resilience, and new ways forward.
Karen holds a B.A. Honours Degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling . She is a pre-accredited member of the IACP (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and a member of BICA (British Infertility Counselling).
